Valencia-Madrid by train

The usual way to travel from Valencia to Madrid by train is taking the "Alaris", a train that completes the journey in 3 hours and 30 minutes, with a stop at Albacete.
There are 2 type of tickets, TURISTA (72.35 euros roundtrip, 45.2 one way) and PREFERENTE (118.9 roundtrip, 74.3 euros one way).

Also exists the option of taking the regional train, but the journey lasts 5 hours and 50 minutes (42,3 euros roundtrip). If you buy one way ticket, you will pay 23,5 euros.

In both cases, you will leave from the Estación del Norte in Valencia and will arrive to the Puerta de Atocha station in Madrid.

It should be noted that trains leaving at first and last hour on weekdays are usually full, so it is a good advice to buy tickets in advance. This is especially important on trains that depart in the early hours of Monday and late on Friday.
